Role Overview:
This is a hybrid role designed for a high-performing technician who can bridge the gap between traditional modern electronic security and mechanical door hardware . This position requires a technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and views an "impossible" mechanical hardware or wiring issue as a personal challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
-Access Control Integration: Install and troubleshoot electronic security components, including maglocks, electric strikes, and card readers.
-System Commissioning: Assist in the setup and testing of door controllers and cloud-based or on-premise access management software.
-Mechanical Mastery: Install, service, and repair a wide range of commercial hardware, including high-security cylinders, exit devices, and door closers.
-The "Daily Pivot": Seamlessly transition from a mechanical hardware install job to a complex low-voltage troubleshooting call without losing focus or technical accuracy.
-Customer Service & Team Cohesion: Act as the face of the company, providing professional, kind, and clear communication to clients and fellow teammates.
Qualifications
• Ability to pass a drug test and comprehensive background check (required).
• Clean driving record and ability to operate service vehicles (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in locksmithing or high-end mechanical assembly (helpful).
• Experience in low-voltage troubleshooting or install (required).
• Strong communication skills for client-facing consultations.
• A commitment to meaningful, thoughtful, and kind communication.
