Bay yearling gelding, came from a direct-to-slaughter auction over the winter so not much history on him. Seller listed him on the coggins as "draft cross". Pretty shabby and scared of humans when he arrived but he's much friendlier now, started on halter/ lead/tie/ picking up feet/ fly spray/ grooming etc. Has been dewormed about every 6 weeks and lost his big old pot belly, summer coat has come in nicely but low end of the pecking order so he's still got some scrapes from the herd teaching him manners.
Beginning of June got a quarter size scrape to his right front knee getting chased into the fence by another horse. Was never lame but there was swelling so he was on 2 weeks antibiotics from the vet and nearly healed up now. Likely will leave a scar but so far just cosmetic.
We're needing to cut back on projects, so that's why he's available. He's very sweet and ready to get more attention somewhere else.
