Offered here is a matted and framed 1869 Henry Stebbins and H. H. Lloyd map of Nebraska and the Northern Territories.

Nebraska, Idaho, and Montana are recognizable, but “Dakota” contains North and South Dakota. Wyoming is labeled for the first time and still includes the previous identifier ‘Unexplored Region’.

In adding the placename Wyoming, this state of the map is also important for showing the Union Pacific Railroad complete beyond Bridger Pass and the proposed route of the Northern Pacific Railroad.

Beautifully framed in angled barnwood. Framed in the early 1970’s to be displayed in one of the guest cabins on Caribou Ranch, the world-famous recording studio of the 1970’s and 1980’s. My husband was the Studio/Ranch Manager of the Caribou Ranch Recording Studio.

Size of framed piece is Approx. 24 1/2” x 35” - Near mint to mint condition (see photos).
